Stix & Stemz grew out of the growing trend of cutting edge events done with an elegant and eclectic flair while being sensitive to the budget needs of the clients. While in Graduate School in Michigan a classmate and good friend was getting married and wanted to have her dream wedding. The question became how do you have a dream wedding on a graduate student budget? This is where Stix & Stemz saw its niche. Our team of experts have worked for some of the leading event and design firms in Chicago and have coordinated corporate events as well as intimate family gatherings.

Stix & Stemz recently coordinated at the Charles H. Wright Museume of African American History in Detroit. In the Chicago area, we have done event and floral design at some of Chicago's hottest locations including the Signature Room, The Palmer House Hilton, Texas De Brazille and Sidley Austin Law Firm.

Why the name "Stix & Stemz", pronounced Sticks and Stems? Well, as a trained scientist, I have always been drawn to natural fibers. I have always loved the juxtaposition of the earthiness that is seen in branches of a flowering tree and the softness from the petals. As such, Stix & Stemz has a flair of using whimsical flowers and accents to bring a natural element to your event, we specialize in fresh floral arrangements and use of sticks and other fibers in an elegant way.
